We are conducting research on a new agent for the treatment of C. difficile infection in conjunction with Boulder, CO-based Crestone, Inc. The study is "A Phase 2, Randomized, Double-Blind, Comparator-Controlled, Multicenter Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of CRS3123 Compared with Oral Medication in Adults with Clostridioides difficile Infection." The study is supported by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

CRS3123 stops C. difficile toxin production which is a main driver of symptoms of C. difficile infection and spares many of the beneficial gut microbes while inhibiting growth of the C. difficile bacteria.

Study participants will be provided study medications, laboratory analyses, and follow up visits with our providers at no cost. A small stipend and help with transportation to and from the clinical research site may also be available.
